WMOC warmup races in Weiner-Neustadt, Austria, about 50K from Vienna.

First race was the day I arrived; jumped off the plane, raced to the event center, got my packet, got changed, and made it to start with about 10 minutes to spare. Jetlagged and poorly hydrated and on no sleep, still managed to have a pretty good race, surprised to finish in the top 3rd or so.

Terrain was physical and technical, and the forest was probably the darkest I've been in due to thick pine canopy. I had a great deal of difficulty reading the map, but found my way around with just bobbles rather than catastrophic booms. Race was harder than WMOC turned out to be.

Sprint was downtown the next day -- took it fairly easy, tho managed to get totally confused out of #1 when I didn't see the alley I wanted. Fine, but not overly technical sprint. Routes dubious in a couple of places, but basically found the controls outside of the disaster leaving #1.
